Week 3 - Photoshop

We had week three of our computer graphic class and we learned some tracing on Illustrator and we got a chance to learn some Photoshop as well!

So in our Photoshop lesson, we learned about masking and cutting images neatly. We had 2 images that we had to turn into an abstract-collage-like artwork. This is what I came up with...
A black and white picture of a man + fruits.

For the first image, I call it "Mr. Pine Apple". He has his own plantation of pineapples that he grows all himself. Because of his passion towards pineapples, his face often looks like a pineapple (especially when he opens his hat). That's what passion does to people. Similar like the quote "you are what you eat", in this case it would be, "you are what you are passionate about".

As for the second image, I call it "Grape Rape". This may be a little controversial but the image is supposed to represent the horror that is rape. The man is supposed to represent a person doing the crime. Meanwhile the grapes represent the people who the person has caused harm, trauma or maybe even death to.
